Senator French moved that the bill be returned to second reading for the purpose of a specific amendment, that being Amendment No. 1. 2003-05-18 Senate Journal Page 1563 Without objection, the bill was returned to second reading. Senator French offered Amendment No. 1 : Page 3, line 23, insert new section (i) The tax credit authorized by this section shall not be allowed when the price of gas exceeds $7.50/MCF for nine months in a fiscal year. Renumber sections accordingly. Senator French moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of Amendment No. 1. Senator Green objected. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 1 be adopted?" Senator Ben Stevens moved and asked unanimous consent that the vote on the passage of the bill be considered the vote on the effective date clauses. Without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Ellis gave notice of reconsideration.
